What is the cost for tutoring?
For qualified tutors:     $25 for one hour.    $18 for 45 minutes.

For tutoring from a certified teacher: $35 per hour.

Do you provide tutoring in your office?
No, all tutoring is done online with webcams.

Are your tutors qualified?
Yes, they are. Many of our tutors have education degrees and/or a Masters degree or PhD related to their teaching subjects.

Are your tutors currently teaching?
Many of our tutors are teaching full or part-time, or are teachers on call. Some are also retired teachers.

What is the minimum length of a tutoring session?
One hour.

How do I make payments?
Payments are made directly to Achievement Online Tutoring prior to the session, by paypal, or by credit card.

Do I have to sign a contract?
No - tutors are paid on a session by session basis. If you like, you may pay up to a month in advance.

What is your cancellation policy?
If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, at least 24 hours notice must be given or the hourly fee will be charged.

Do you charge GST and PST?
No.

Do you tutor students who are taking correspondence (distance education) courses?
Yes - we also tutor students who are home-schooled.

Do you provide tutoring during the summer?
Yes - many of our tutors are available during the summer.

Have your tutors been through the Government Criminal Record checks?
Yes. All of our tutors are required to do this before joining our service.

Is there a minimum number of hours for tutoring?
There is no minimum hourly requirement with Achievement Online Tutoring.

Will I be satisfied?
Yes. We are very confident with the quality of our tutors.  Should you experience any difficulties with your tutor for any reason, we will do our absolute best to solve the problem with you and the tutor. If we cannot come to a resolution that satisfies you and you wish to change tutors we will accommodate your request ASAP.
